CULTURAL ASSOCIATION CASABRANCA ORGANIZES ENCOUNTER ON ART AND EDUCATION

The Cultural Association casaBranca organizes the initiative Playing: encounters on art, education and transformative practices, at Júlio Dantas High School in Lagos. The event will be held on October 17 and 18 and integrates panels of debate and workshops conducted by national and international artists, with experience in working with communities and who will have the opportunity to share these processes, as well as the tools and methodologies they have been creating, collecting, and applying.

This meeting is part of an ERASMUS research and cooperation project on the development and importance of the arts and creativity in learning processes and has as one of the partners the Vice-Rectorate of the University of Valencia, Spain.

The program is open to all interested parties — teachers, educators, mediators, students, cultural and social associations and all people working with arts and education — and includes two accredited trainings for teachers, which confer a certificate of participation.

The Cultural Association casaBranca is a place for artistic creation and dissemination financed by the Portuguese Republic and constitutes itself as a space for interdisciplinary cultural action that promotes the research and dissemination of Contemporary Art through the production of artistic objects, a Program for Pedagogy and Training, in addition to the realization of the Performing Arts Festival Verão Azul.
