CIAC participates in Convention on the Value of Cultural Heritage for the Society

The researcher Sandra Boto will be in Huelva, on the 3rd  and 4th December, for a Meeting on Heritage and Participatory Citizenship, within the framework of the Faro Convention Research-Action of the European Council.

This Convention, adopted by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in Faro, Algarve, in 2005, looks for creative ways to develop and manage community assets with active involvement of civil society, whose civic initiatives allow institutions and communities to develop decision-making capacities and manage their development processes, ensuring that heritage contributes to the social, cultural and economic dynamics of communities.

The CIAC researcher will represent the Center through the moderation of the round table dedicated to the theme “Innovation and creativity (how participation helps innovative and creative heritage management and governance ?, how innovation and creativity fosters citizens participation …) with the aim of promoting a meaningful conversation among participants on these topics, in accordance with the principles and criteria of the Faro Convention.
