EXHIBITION CURATED BY PEDRO CABRAL SANTO OPENS ON 5TH JUNE
On 5th June, the exhibition Da Terra à Lua, a Pé [From Earth to the Moon, on foot] opens at Plataforma Revólver, in Lisbon. It is a complex device, “capable of mixing countless media and techniques”, which seeks to “involve the viewer in an exploratory environment”. Pedro Cabral Santo, CIAC researcher, is responsible for the curatorship.
With an approach to the role of artists, and art, and regarding the social-political phenomena of contemporary societies and the incessant dissemination of different languages (pictorial, sculptural and installation), Da Terra à Lua, a Pé proposes to broaden the visions of artists, beyond the forms and the apparent recognition of the “objects” used. According to Vítor Pinto da Fonseca and Pedro Cabral Santo, the intention is to obtain other readings of the essence of the contemporary world.
The exhibition features works by Orlando Franco, Teresa Carvalho, João Jacinto, João Queiroz, Mafalda Pilha, Ruy Otero, São Trindade, Tiago Batista, Marta Wengorovius, Pedro Cabral Santo, Paulo Mendes and Rodrigo Rosa. Da Terra à Lua, a Pé will be open from 6th June to 15th July 2021, at Plataforma Revólver.
