Attention: Exhibition inadequate for consumption
The exhibition “Impróprio para consumo” will open on the next 18th of April, by 6.30 pm, at Galeria TREM, in Faro. This is fourth initiative promoted by CIAC in this venue, and its purpose is publicize the work of three artists that use everyday objects to create art works. Jorge Mestre Simão, Ângelo Gonçalves and Tatiana Barreiros raise questions in a creative way about the role of the objects in the world, altering them and reiterating the idea of the artist as a gatherer, who appropriates him/herself of what he sees and transforms the common into the unusual. Making art with what the leftovers, the three artists present to the public a product truly inadequate for consumption.
