Immersive art installation of Rudolfo Quintas integrates programming of the Project Dar a Ouvir. Paisagens Sonoras da Cidade

The artist Rudolfo Quintas displays at the São Francisco Convent in Coimbra, his latest immersive audiovisual art installation, within Project Dar a Ouvir. Paisagens Sonoras da Cidade, developed by the Educational Service of Jazz from the Center in co-organization with the Municipality of Coimbra. The art installation will be open between July 1 and September 2, and will include a sound track in the city to discover, which connects the São Francisco Convent to the Botanical Garden, with passage through the Manuel Braga Park, next to the Water Museum. In addition to the sound installations presented, the route explores the landscape and soundscape of the places, offering the visitor the possibility of experiencing them from a perspective that we are rarely sensitive to.

The installation on display, titled Darkless: The Black Hole, is a work in which the public is invited to be part of a space of artistic expression and where time and space collide – as in a black hole, to make our place present. The composition of this installation is inspired by the work that Rudolfo Quintas develops on the creative expansion of the body and reality in blind people, mapping the movement of the body through sound.

Recently, Rudolfo Quintas was in Antena 3, in the Public Domain program, where he was able to present his most recent work. The conversation with journalist Vanessa Augusto is available here.
