Visual Arts students exhibit at the Trem Gallery. In September, Galeria Trem hosts a very special exhibition: two young artists, former students of the Visual Arts degree at the University of Algarve, bring us the exhibition Sabotage. Patrícia Serrão and Rodrigo Rosa, promising young graduates in 2018 from the University of Algarve, will expose a set of works between painting and sculpture that show a little of their journey.
The inauguration takes place next Thursday, September 26, at 18h00 and will be open until November 21 at Galeria Trem.
Rodrigo Rosa (Tavira, 1997) has a degree in Visual Arts from the University of Algarve. He has been exhibiting regularly in Portugal since 2017. We highlight individual projects UNKNOWN STRUCTURES / UNNAMED SPACES (Galeria Foco, 2018), DREAMHOUSE (curated by Sandro Resende, Travessa da Ermida, 2018), as well as his participation in the group exhibitions I WILL TAKE THE RISK (curated by Carolina Trigueiros, Tomaz Hipólito Studio, 2019) and MICRO-CLIMA (Galeria Valbom, 2019). In 2019 he was selected for the Young Art Award – Millenium BCP Foundation, and in 2017 he was selected for the Young Creators Award in the Visual Arts category. His work is evident in the collection of the Travessa da Ermida Project, and in several other private collections in Portugal.
Patrícia Serrão graduated in 2018 from the University of Algarve in Visual Arts. Her work is manifestly ontological, starting from personal experiences and memories, applied to the fragility of the human condition. She works essentially through a sculptural, performative and videographic record. She has been regularly exhibiting her work in Portugal, highlighting the exhibition “”Três Quartos na Noite” at Travessa da Ermida, curated by Sandro Resende.
