CIAC researchers and artists join one of the biggest artistic events in the Algarve

The Associação 289, a non-profit entity created to contribute to the promotion and dissemination of Visual Arts and other artistic manifestations in the context of the Algarve region, is preparing the exhibition 289 – Um projecto de Pedro Cabrita Reis.

According to João Pinharanda, when challenged to occupy the space of the Solar de Pontes de Marchil, where the exhibition will be displayed, “Pedro Cabrita Reis, with the wide gesture that represents him, brought many of his friends and even told them to bring others. The reunion of all these people, though unpretentious as a summer thing, promises us almost the balance of an artistic situation and can reserve us many surprises, as in an unexpected party.”

This exhibition brings together, in a single space, many names of the portuguese artistic panorama, among which we can find some of the researchers who collaborate with the CIAC, as professors and students of the Visual Arts degree of the University of Algarve or other researchers who develop artistic projects hosted by the Center.

The exhibition 289-Um Projecto de Pedro Cabrita Reis will be inaugurated at 7:00 pm on July 14 and will be open until Wednesday, September 15, from Wednesday to Sunday, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Solar das Pontes de Marchil, at departure from Faro to Loulé.
