HUMANITAS

HUMANITAS

CIAC has just published the second volume of the HUMANITAS collection, an essential contribution to the study of Digital Culture

In this second volume of the HUMANITAS Collection, coordinated by the researchers Mirian Tavares and Sandra Boto, we have collected articles from some thinkers who have been working for some time with various aspects of the digital universe and its implications on the culture and products of this culture within our civilization. Here, deontological, pragmatic, programmatic and research questions are raised in an attempt to trace a small panorama of what is being done, what is being thought about the digital and the relations of artistic and communicational, analogical practices in the passage for new supports and new operating logic processes.

Resulting of a partnership between CIAC and Grácio Editor, the book presented here, Digital Culture – a state of the art, brings together articles from researchers from the Center and from relevant partners with whom we have established networks: Heitor Alvelos, Sandra Boto , Javier Hernández Ruiz, Claudia Gianetti, Gilbertto Prado, Jorge la Ferla, Bruno Mendes da Silva and Mirian Tavares.

The HUMANITAS Collection, coordinated by researcher Sandra Boto, is an essay collection disseminating the results of the research produced at this center. It intends to offer, through the works published here, our contribution in the scientific field of Humanities.

The presentation of the book, by José Bidarra, professor at the Open University and also a CIAC-UAb researcher, will take place on September 22 at 9:30 pm at the Forum Algarve FNAC, and will also be attended by coordinators and some of the authors.
