MARÍA JESÚS VILAR PARTICIPATES IN A CONGRESS IN HONOR OF JOSEPH T. SNOW
On the 25th October , María Jesús Vilar, CIAC researcher and coordinator of the Centre for Galician Studies (CEG) of UAlg, participates in the Contarte he maravillas… Congreso internacional de estudios medievales hispánicos en honor a Joseph T. Snow, organized by the University of Alcalá, in collaboration with the National Library of Spain and the Complutense University of Madrid. “O poder da dama nas Cantigas de Santa Maria” is the title of his paper.
Through a broad program of conferences, grouped into 25 thematic sessions around the three main lines of research that define Joseph T. Snow’s scientific career (the cultural heritage of Alfonso X, the Wise; the Book of Good Love; and Celestine), the conference Contarte he maravillas… brings together about one hundred researchers and specialists from different universities and international institutions. These three axes will be approached from the interdisciplinary and the most diverse approaches of philology, history, the history of literature, linguistics, and the history of art.
