MIRIAN TAVARES PRESENT AT DIFFERENT EVENTS AT THE FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF CEARÁ (BRAZIL)
Today, at 8 pm (Lisbon time), CIAC coordinator Mirian Tavares will give the lecture “From affections: the art that affects us or paths and detours of a life and teaching art”, at the invitation of the Álacre project – Literature and Affections Laboratory, of the Culture and Arts Institute of the Ceará Federal University (UFC). The event takes place at IPREDE – Institute for Early Childhood, in Fortaleza (Brazil), coordinated by Cavalcante Junior (ICA/UFC) and mediated by André Feitosa (University of Coimbra).
In a reflection on her own academic career, Mirian Tavares will address the validity of Feyrebend’s and Morin’s methods; and share her concerns about teaching and research in contemporary times, particularly with regard to technical thinking and the specialized and fragmented view of knowledge.
On June 18, at 3pm (Fortaleza time), Mirian Tavares will also participate in the Round Table “After the modern: tortuous passages between modernisms and contemporaneities”, with the paper “From avant-garde cinema to video art: the tortuous paths of the audiovisual”; and, at 5pm (Fortaleza time), she will attend the launch of the book Tempo-Sol, which includes a chapter of her authorship (“The spirit of time or the time of the spirits: the solar work of Hilma Af Klint”).
