MIRIAN TAVARES INTERVIEWED BY THE INTERNATIONAL MAGAZINE INTERIN
“Media literacy and the fallacy of access to information: interview with Mirian Nogueira Tavares” was recently published in the scientific journal Interin.
Mirian Tavares has conducted several researches in the field of media literacy, especially in cinema and art. In this interview, conducted in October 2021, she talks about her academic career and addresses the role of the Arts in the field of teaching and research. In addition, some CIAC projects in the area of media literacy are discussed, whose results allow us to reflect on the “fallacy of access to information” in the Information Society.
The Interin magazine is a biannual online publication of the Graduate Program in Communication and Languages at the University Tuiuti do Paraná (Brazil). Its editorial line focuses on themes such as the development of communication technologies and their influence on communication practices and processes; and the processes of media signification in the production and conveyance of discourses, the establishment of links in sociocultural contexts and the study of media objects.
