CIAC’s ROTURA – Journal for Communication, Culture, and Arts, was recently indexed on Latindex-Sistema Regional de Información en línea para Revistas Científicas de América Latina, El Caribe, España y Portugal.

Journal Rotura publishes research in the fields of Communication, Culture and Arts, namely in the field of artistic studies (visual arts, digital media-art, cinema, theater) and cultural, communication and literary studies (Digital Archives, digital critical editions), with an interdisciplinary approach. Rotura is an OJS publication (Open Journal Systems), with rigorous scientific arbitration practices, that integrates experts from all over the world.

Latindex is the product of the cooperation of a network of institutions that work together to gather and disseminate information on scientific publications produced in Ibero-America. The idea of creating Latindex arose in 1995 at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and it became a regional cooperation network from 1997. It includes scientific research, technical-professional and scientific and cultural dissemination journals published in Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain and Portugal. Journals can be printed or accessed online.

In addition to indexing in Latindex, Rotura has also recently been integrated into the databases: European Reference Index for de Humanities and Social Sciences (ERIHPLUS); Sherpa Services (JISC); Indexar by FCCN; Directory of Open Access Scholarly Resources (ROAD); and Catalogue SUDOC.

The integration of Rotura into international databases certifies the quality and accuracy of accepted and published content and contributes to the efficient sharing of scientific knowledge, aligning with the principles of open access and promoting collaboration between researchers from different parts of the world.
