PLAY YOUR ROLE PROJECT

PLAY YOUR ROLE PROJECT

CIAC travels to Italy for the first meeting of the latest project hosted by CIAC.

Mirian Tavares will be in Florence next week for the initial PLay Your Role Project meeting, hosted by the Italian partners responsible for the overall coordination of the Project.

Play Your Role: Gamification Against Hate Speech is a project funded by the European Commission under the Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme (2014-2020). The challenge that this project poses is the reinforcement of positive behaviors in adolescents through video games, promoting awareness and understanding of xenophobic and racist hate speech online, through the creation of new pedagogical tools (online narratives in the form of game activities), for teachers and youth workers to consolidate empathy.

Play your Role results from a partnership between 7 international institutions (Italy, Lithuania, Germany, Portugal, Poland and France) from which we can find CIAC (UAlg) as one of the participating partners. The national project team is made up of the researchers Mirian Tavares and Bruno Mendes da Silva (local coordinator).
