The Proceedings of the 4th Congress of Literacy, Media and Citizenship, held in May in Porto, with the theme “For a new awareness of public space”, has just been released.
Raquel Pacheco, post-doctoral researcher at CIAC, integrates this publication with an article dedicated to film literacy through the analysis of two European projects and an international film and education project in the Portuguese context. The researchers Olivia Novoa Fernández, Ana Filipa Martins and Vítor Reia-Baptista also have an article in this publication, where they approach the media literacy in the teaching of languages through the analysis of You Tube channels. José Gomes and Cristina Maria Gomes, PhDs in Digital Media Art and CIAC’ collaborators, also sign an article that addresses the augmented reality in support of reading, media and information literacy. Finally, Leticia and Álvaro Americano, in partnership with Gabriela Borges, doctoral students who develop their research projects at CIAC, publish an article that seeks to discuss the relationship of consumers with advertising and marketing actions in the immersive environment of social networks on the Internet.
