The CIAC researcher, Eugénia Vasques, is a member of the review committee of the number 6 of the Revista de História da Arte – Série W (Art History Institute – Universidade Nova de Lisboa).
RHA nº 6, series W, includes a selection of communications and records of the documentary and artistic shows presented at the International Symposium “Performance Portuguese Art: 2 cycles for 1 file”, which took place at the Berardo Museum between July 20-22 2016.
This issue gives visibility to some fragments of the history of art performance in Portugal that have been developed by an interdisciplinary group of researchers (from Art History, Sociology, Communication Sciences, Conservation, etc.) and register in an innovative way , the debates that were developed during the symposium, putting in dialogue several protagonists of this field.
We highlight the interactive thematic dossier, with the artistic exhibition, which complemented the symposium at the Berardo Museum in July 2016, including works of several artists from various generations using performance or performativity as well as some records of the show documentary / bibliography developed by Manuel Barbosa from his personal archive.
