Wiliam Pianco’s article on the Travel Movies of Manoel de Oliveira integrates the book Os Pobres no Cinema de Manoel de Oliveira.

CIAC collaborator Wiliam Pianco, Ph.D. student in Communication, Culture and Arts and Associate Professor at the Federal University of São Carlos, Brazil, has just published the article “Filmes de Viagem de Manoel de Oliveira: Passagens da História a Contrapelo”. This article integrates the publication of Interdisciplinary Studies of Cinema, Literature and Society, organized by Renata Soares Junqueira, dedicated to the theme “The Poor in the Cinema of Manoel de Oliveira”, work that is inserted in a research project, in course, that intends to compare the cinematographic works of the Portuguese filmmaker with the Brazilian filmmaker Glauber Rocha.
