CIAC is pleased to provide its latest publication, organized by the researchers Denize Araujo, Jorge Carrega and Ingrid Fechine, the second volume of the Perspectivas Luso-Brasileiras em Artes e Comunicação (Luso-Brazilian Perspectives in Arts and Communication edition).
This publication, composed of articles in the area of communication, produced by thirty-six researchers from various Portuguese and Brazilian institutions, is the result of a period of dialogue between researchers from Portugal and Brazil, between the CIAC- Research Center for Arts and Communication and the Research Group “Communication, Memory and Popular Culture” of UEPB – State University of Paraíba (Brazil), with the collaboration of CIC – Research Group “Communication, Image and Contemporaneity” of UTP – Tuiuti University of Paraná (Brazil).
The second volume, organized in two parts and which we now present, brings together various works by CIAC integrated members and collaborators, contributing to the dissemination of scientific knowledge that resulted from research in arts and communication, developed in the respective academic and scientific contexts. The first part of this volume features eight works devoted to film research. And the second part has sixteen articles that reflect on the arts and communication in order to contribute to the debate on the various issues related to image studies, script and film construction, as well as research in literature, arts, culture, photography and journalism. We highlight the articles in the cinema area of our researchers Jorge Carrega and Mirian Tavares, Patrícia Dourado and Álvaro Americano. In the area of arts and humanities, we highlight the works of Sandra Boto, Bruno Mendes da Silva, Tiago Cruz, Fernando Faria Paulino, Adriana Freire Nogueira, Pedro Pais Correia and Josely Teixeira Carlos.
