Result of postdoctoral research at CIAC is published as a book

The researcher Carlos Eduardo Japiassú de Queiroz has just published the book The Saint Bernard (s) by Graciliano Ramos and Leon Hirszman: an investigation about the theme of time in the narrative structures of the novel and the film São Bernardo, the result of its postdoctrual stage held in 2015 at the CIAC / University of Algarve, under the supervision of Mirian Tavares. The issue, financed by CAPES, makes a comparative analysis of the novel by the Brazilian writer Graciliano Ramos and the homonymous film work of the Brazilian director, Leon Hirszman, taking into account the use and conception of time as a construction of meaning for history and to the structure of the narrative.
Carlos Eduardo Japiassú de Queiroz, born in São Paulo, holds a degree in Social Communication from the Federal University of Pernambuco. He is currently Adjunct Professor of the Vernacular Letters Department of the Federal University of Sergipe.
