CIAC promotes Summer Seminar “Curating Cultural Big Data”

The summer seminar “Curating Cultural Big Data” focuses on ideas and innovations arising from a series of recent and ongoing research projects at King’s College London

This is a highly interdisciplinary type of research that addresses the data of digital origin we generate in our everyday lives, with a particular focus on mobile platforms. This research tackles the social, cultural, political and economic dimensions of these processes of datification. The projects (funded by UK institutions as part of Horizon 2020) seek to increase access and critical and creative use of data as a means of turning them into a collective resource. The seminar will take place on July 18, at 11:00 a.m., in room 2.35 of Building 1 on Gambelas Campus. We also invite the scientific community interested in establishing collaboration networks in this field to participate in the informal work meeting that will take place after the talk.

Admission is free, but subject to registration.
