Artefacto 2026: International Conference opens call for papers and artistic works
The 5th International Conference on Digital Creation in Arts, Media and Technology, ARTeFACTo 2026 BEJA – Expanded (A)udiovisual (I)ntelligence, has opened its calls for participation, inviting researchers, artists, and professionals to submit scientific papers and artistic works in the fields of digital arts, media, and contemporary culture. CIAC – Research Centre for Arts and Communication is part of the event’s organisation as one of its institutional partners.
The 2026 edition will take place in person in the city of Beja, at the Polytechnic University, bringing together participants from different countries to discuss emerging practices and research at the intersection of art, technology, and communication. The event will be held from November 25 to 27, 2026, featuring a programme that includes academic presentations, exhibitions, performances, and thematic sessions.
Submission of papers and artworks
The conference welcomes contributions in two main strands:
- Scientific papers, focused on theoretical or applied research;
- Artistic works, including experimental projects and creative practices.
Important dates:
- Submission of paper proposals and artistic works: July 20, 2026;
- Notification of acceptance: September 14, 2026;
- Final paper submission and author registration: October 26, 2026.
The organisers encourage submissions that explore innovative, interdisciplinary, and critical approaches in the field of digital arts and media.
Artefacto 2026 is supported by several academic institutions and research centres, including CIAC, reinforcing its active role in promoting international networks of research and artistic creation.
