Filipe Madeira

Filipe Madeira, completed his PhD in Informatics in 2013/07/15 at the University of Évora Institute for Advanced Research and Training, a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1997/06/03 at the University of Lisbon Instituto Superior Técnico and a degree in Systems Engineering and Informatics in 1992/07/25 at the University of Minho. He is a Researcher at the University of Algarve in the Arts and Communication Research Center (CIAC), Digital Literacy and Social Inclusion Hub. He is a Coordinating Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém, at the Santarém School of Management and Technology, where he is currently a member of the Technical-Scientific Council, the Pedagogical Council and the School Assembly. He coordinates the Bachelor’s Degree in Informatics and the Master’s Degree in Applied Informatics. He is a member of the Scientific Council of the IPSantarém Research Unit and an internal member of the same unit, in the sub-areas of “Software engineering and information systems” and “Social Studies of Science and Technology”. He is also a member of the Scientific Council of the Digital Literacy and Social Inclusion Hub (CIAC). He is the Chief Editor of the UI_IPSantarém Journal. He has published 14 articles in specialized journals and 11 conference papers. He has 2 book chapters. He has organized 16 events. He has received 2 awards and/or honors. Participated as a Doctoral Fellow in 1 project and as a researcher in 5 projects. As a lecturer, he has taught in the area of Computer and Information Sciences since 1992.
