
José Bidarra
José Bidarra is an Associate Professor (retired) at the Universidade Aberta, in the Department of Education and Distance Learning, where he teached courses in the areas of digital narratives, multimedia and e-learning. He was also a member of the Coordinating Committee of the PhD in Digital Media Art (DMAD), a partnership between the Universidade Aberta and the Universidade do Algarve. He was Coordinator of the Informatics, Physics and Technology Section (SIFT) and a member of the Coordinating Council of the Science and Technology Department (DCeT) of the Universidade Aberta. He was also co-author of the Virtual Pedagogical Model in force at the Open University. He frequently collaborates on transnational projects and provides occasional consultancy and professional training services to various institutions.
Research Interests
His activities are centered on the areas of e-learning, narratives, games and digital media, and he has supervised several master’s and doctoral theses.
