Ana Isabel Soares participates in the 18th Portuguese Cinema Conference
Researcher Ana Isabel Soares (CIAC/University of Algarve) is participating in the 18th Cinema in Portuguese Conference, a scientific event organised by LabCom – Communication and Arts and iA* – Research in Arts, with the support of the Department of Arts and the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the University of Beira Interior (UBI). This year’s edition will take place between 21 and 23 May 2025, in Covilhã.
Since 2008, the Conference has aimed to promote debate on the cinematography of Portuguese-speaking territories through a critical and interdisciplinary approach. The 2025 edition reaffirms this mission, focusing on current issues related to Lusophone cinema, with special attention to the cultural, artistic and socio-economic dynamics that shape its practices and narratives.
