Ana Raquel Gouveia takes part in international conference: Multimodus


Ana Raquel Gouveia, a researcher at CIAC, will take part in the 2nd International Conference on Sound and Image in Art & Design – Multimodus’25, an academic event dedicated to sound and image studies within the field of Art & Design. The conference brings together researchers, professionals, entrepreneurs, and educators to discuss both the theoretical and practical aspects of audiovisual experiences, encompassing everything from purely artistic approaches to industry-oriented initiatives.

The event aims to encourage thought-provoking contributions from academics and professionals worldwide on the broad topic of sound and image in Art & Design, with a particular focus on transmedia and the intersections between different forms of expression.

Multimodus is designed to function as both a scientific conference and a space for artistic and creative exchange.

The event will take place on April 2 and 3, 2025, at the University of Évora, with some sessions held at the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre. It is organized by researchers from CHAIA – Centre for Art History and Artistic Research.

Ana Raquel Gouveia will be presenting on April 3 at 2:15 PM, in the Eborense Central Hall at the University of Évora. She will participate in Conference Session 6, titled: “Transmedia Narratives, Augmented Reality and Narrative Portals: A Strategy for Enhancing Cultural Heritage.”
