António Costa Valente presented a paper at the 14th FORGES Conference in Macau

CIAC researcher António Costa Valente took part online in the 14th FORGES Conference — Forum for Higher Education Management in Portuguese-speaking Countries and Regions, which took place from 26 to 28 November, jointly organised by FORGES and the Polytechnic University of Macau.

Under the theme “Teaching and Research in Higher Education”, António Costa Valente presented the paper “AVANCA|CINEMA — An Interdisciplinary Dialogue Between Academia and Audiovisual Creation”. The speech highlighted the innovative model of the AVANCA|CINEMA project, which promotes interaction between academic research and artistic creation, fostering the crossing of knowledge and practices in the audiovisual field.

The aim of the 14th FORGES Conference was to bring the entire academic community closer together, especially education policymakers, members of the governing bodies of higher education institutions, administrators, teachers and researchers, and it was an opportunity to reflect on some main structuring themes of higher education, making it a space for co-operation, sharing, learning and benchmark research.
