APEF Forum 2025 to Take Place at the Penha Campus of the University of Algarve
Ana Clara Santos, CIAC researcher, former president and current honorary president of APEF (Association Portugaise d’Études Françaises), is coordinating the organising committee of the APEF Forum 2025, which will be held from 27 to 29 October at the Penha Campus of the University of Algarve.
The APEF Forum 2025 is organised in partnership with the Master’s in Creative Processes of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences at the University of Algarve, CIAC-UAlg, and the ILCML – Margarida Losa Institute for Comparative Literature at the University of Porto. The event aims to further explore literary and artistic rewriting practices in French and Francophone culture, as well as their connections and dialogues with other cultural traditions.
In addition to Ana Clara Santos, the organizing committee is made up of:
- José Domingues de Almeida (ILCML/ APEF/ Univ. do Porto);
- Ana Maria Alves (APEF/IPO de Bragança);
- Ana Alexandra Carvalho (APEF/ Univ. do Algarve);
- Lígia Cipriano (APEF/ Univ. do Algarve);

- Dominique Faria (APEF/Univ. dos Açores);
- Ana Isabel Moniz (APEF/Univ. da Madeira);
- Maria de Fátima Outeirinho (APEF/ILCML/Univ. do Porto).
The forum will bring together over 60 speakers from several countries, including Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium, Italy, the United Kingdom, Poland, Canada, Algeria, Morocco, and Brazil.
