Call for papers open for the 3rd International Conference on Creative Processes
CIAC – Research Centre in Arts and Communication invites artists and researchers to submit proposals for the 3rd International Conference on Creative Processes, which will take place from 2 to 4 December 2026 at the University of Algarve (Gambelas Campus, Faro), in a hybrid format.
Organised in partnership with the Research Group on Creative Processes of PUC-SP, this edition focuses on the theme “Research Methodologies in Creative Processes”, promoting reflection on theoretical and practical approaches to the study of creative processes.
The conference provides an interdisciplinary space for dialogue between artists and researchers, dedicated to the analysis of creative processes in their multiple dimensions, encompassing practices, materialities, methods, and languages.
Since 2019, the collaboration between CIAC and PUC-SP has resulted in several initiatives, including the CIAC Creative Processes Collection, the international conference, and academic training programmes in the field.
Drawing on theoretical contributions such as those of Cecilia Salles, who proposed a transversal approach to the study of creative processes, the conference seeks to embrace different methodologies and perspectives, encouraging the sharing of experiences, challenges, and research outcomes.
