CIAC collaborator contributes to the book “Media, Art & Technology in the Culture of the Nine Portuguese-Speaking Countries”

The presentation of the book “Media, Art & Technology in the Nine Portuguese-Speaking Countries Culture” recently took place in the Algarve, bringing together academic contributions that explore the intersection between media, art, and technology within the context of Portuguese-speaking countries.

The publication seeks to foster dialogue across different geographic and cultural contexts — Europe, Africa (Cape Verde, Mozambique, Angola, São Tomé and Príncipe, Guinea-Bissau), the Americas (Brazil), and Asia (Macau and Timor-Leste) — highlighting the potential for cooperation, knowledge sharing, and joint development within this Lusophone space.

Among the contributions included in the book is a chapter dedicated to Macau, authored by CIAC collaborator Carmen Monereo, reinforcing the centre’s involvement in international research networks in the fields of art, media, and digital culture.

The publication is available in open access online as well as in printed format, in both Portuguese and English, expanding its reach among different academic and scientific communities.
