CIAC participates in the International Conference “FOREU4ALL Initiatives and Accelerate GenAI”

On 26 May 2025, CIAC-PLDIS of the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém is organising the international conference ‘FOREU4ALL INITIATIVES AND ACCELERATE GENAI’, which will take place in Auditorium I of the IPSantarém School of Education, in a hybrid format (in person and online, via Zoom – ID: 918 5395 3635).

This event is part of the ACE2EU FOREU4ALL initiatives and has the collaboration of European alliances such as Colours and NEOLAiA, as well as the international network METARED (Peru). The programme brings together more than 20 speakers from across Europe – including institutional leaders, researchers and experts in digital transformation – in a multilingual and interdisciplinary environment, with simultaneous translation into English.

A conference with leadership and vision

Coordinated by Professor Maria Potes Barbas, lecturer and researcher at IPSantarém and head of CIAC-PLDIS, this conference aims to promote digital education, inclusion and international cooperation. The professor was recently awarded the 2024 International Prize by the University of Targu Jiu, recognising her contribution to educational innovation and digital literacy.

Featured programme

• Official signing of a cooperation protocol between CIAC-PLDIS, ISTEC and the Regional Association for the Development of Information Technologies in Madeira, to promote applied research in Artificial Intelligence in higher education.
• Practical workshops on AI tools (basic and intermediate level), focusing on applications such as:
  • Prompt engineering
  • Image, video and infographic creation
  • Machine translation and content summarisation
  • Co-writing and improving textual readability
  • Ethics in AI and digital literacy
  • The future of European university alliances
  • Digital skills for teachers and students
• Thematic panels on:

• Active participation of students from the Master’s Degree in Digital Resources for Education (MRDE), with presentations of innovative projects.

• Launch of the PLDIS App, which will allow users to follow CIAC-PLDIS events and conferences in real time.
