CIAC researchers publish in the book Arte, Digital, Academia, Museu Zer0

Mirian Tavares and Pedro Alves da Veiga, researchers at CIAC, contributed to the book “Arte, Digital, Academia, Museu Zer0” with two chapters: “Poéticas Digitais” and “Dos Jogos Sérios à Arte Digital: Artefactos, Espaços e Estratégias” respectively.

Mirian Tavares’ chapter, “Poéticas Digitais“, aims to promote the development of experimental projects and reflect on the impact of new technologies in the field of arts. Pedro Alves Veiga’s chapter, “Dos Jogos Sérios à Arte Digital: Artefactos, Espaços e Estratégias“, focuses on the parallels between serious game development approaches and their migration and adoption by curatorial strategies in the exhibition of digital media art.

The book is the result of the Agora Interuniversitária Museu Zer0 initiative, which facilitated meetings among portuguese academics with an interest in computational art. The publication builds on the meetings held in 2023, dedicated to themes such as Art and the Internet, Digital Poetics, Art and Games, and Artificial Intelligence, aiming to expand these topics to a broader community.
