International Symposium Tell.Me will focus on Biographical Narratives in Cities with Media and Information Literacy

Next Friday, 14th June, the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) in Macau will host the Tell.Me Symposium – the First International Symposium on Biographical Narratives in Media and Information Literacy Cities.

The event, taking place from 17:30 to 22:00 (GMT+8) in the Conference Hall, promises to be a crucial gathering for educators, researchers, and artists from around the world.

Through lectures, research presentations, and artistic contributions, the symposium aims to explore how biographical narratives can deepen the understanding of pluralism within urban communities, recover collective memory, value individual experiences, and contribute to the development of ethical, informed, and culturally aware cities.

Organised by the School of Doctoral Studies and the Faculty of Religious Studies and Philosophy, and hosted by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at USJ, the Tell.Me Symposium is sponsored by UNESCO MIL ALLIANCE, ARTECH International, and CIAC – Research Center for Arts and Communication, with artistic support from the Macau Foundation.

This event represents a unique opportunity to discuss and appreciate the life stories that make up the urban social fabric, promoting a better understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity in modern cities. The organisers hope the symposium will inspire new approaches in education and the arts, contributing to a more inclusive and aware future.
