Individual Scientific Employment Stimulus Competition – 7th Edition

The CIAC – Research Center for Arts and Communication at the University of Algarve, as a host institution, announces the opening of the Individual Scientific Employment Stimulus Competition – 7th Edition, scheduled to run from September 30 to November 29, 2024.

This competition, promoted by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), is aimed at PhD holders of any nationality or stateless individuals who wish to carry out scientific research or technological development activities in Portugal, integrated within R&D units funded by the FCT.

Applicants must identify in advance the host institution where they will develop their research plan. Selected PhD holders are directly employed by the identified host institution, with funding provided by the FCT.

The following reference categories are considered within the two levels open for competition:

a) Junior Researcher – PhD holders with five years or less of experience since obtaining their degree, counted at the application submission deadline, and with limited postdoctoral research experience in the scientific field they are applying for.

b) Assistant Researcher – PhD holders at the application submission deadline with a relevant track record in the scientific field they are applying for.

The competition will take place between September 30 (3:00 PM) and November 29, 2024 (5:00 PM). Applications must be submitted via the FCT website, where further information about the competition is also available. For more details, please visit the official link.
