José Paulo Pereira Publishes Article in Veredas Journal

José Paulo Pereira, CIAC researcher, has published an article in the latest issue of Veredas: Revista da Associação Internacional de Lusitanistas (vol. 43), titled “Mia Couto: The Supplement of Origin in Terra Sonâmbula*…”*

In this text, the researcher discusses the first novel by Mozambican writer Mia Couto, Terra Sonâmbula, through the lens of Freudian and Lacanian psychoanalytic theory. He focuses on the character Kindzu, who calls himself a “writer of dreams,” and examines the possibility of a “pre-literal writing,” insofar as dreams can be understood as “letters to our other, remaining lives.”
