Jusciele de Oliveira takes part in the IV International Meeting of ABE-AFRICA
Jusciele de Oliveira, researcher at CIAC, will present her work entitled “Postcolonial musicalities: a study of African musicals” at the IV International Meeting of ABE-AFRICA: sensitive pasts, possible futures, which will take place from 11 to 14 November 2024 at the Federal University of Sergipe, São Cristóvão (Sergipe, Brazil).
The biannual meetings of ABE-ÁFRICA bring together researchers from different parts of the world and from a variety of backgrounds who have Africa at the centre of their research. The meetings aim to create connections between institutions, research groups, academics and society in general, contributing to the creation and consolidation of networks to strengthen African studies in Brazil.
Jusciele de Oliveira’s study will be presented in the Thematic Group ‘WG 01. Arts in Africa: Curation, circulation and international dialogues’, coordinated by Joana D’Arc de Sousa Lima and Lia Dias Laranjeira.
