Miguel Ángel Ortiz-Sobrino to speak at the Communication Sciences Seminar


Miguel Ángel Ortiz-Sobrino will be the next guest speaker in the Communication Sciences Seminars, focusing specifically on the field of Journalism.

A Full Professor at the Complutense University of Madrid and accredited as a Professor of Social Sciences by ANECA, Ortiz-Sobrino currently directs the Master’s Programme in Audiovisual Production and Programme and Format Design for Television.

He holds a degree in Journalism, a degree in Visual and Auditory Image Sciences, and a PhD in Information Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid. He also earned an official Master’s degree in Humanities from Francisco de Vitoria University and a Diploma in Media Research from A.I.M.C.

The event will take place on 14 November at 10:30 a.m. in Amphitheater 0.6 of the Pedagogical Complex on the Penha campus.

The Journalism Seminar is organised within the scope of the curricular unit Ethics and Deontology of Communication, taught by Professor Paulo Falcão Alves to third-year Communication Sciences undergraduate students.
