Mirian Tavares presents at the 2nd Culture and Creativity Forum

Mirian Tavares, vice-coordinator of CIAC, will deliver the opening keynote at the 2nd Culture and Creativity Forum, to be held on 19 and 20 March 2026 at the National Museum Soares dos Reis, in Porto.

Under the theme “Culture in Transformation: Challenges of the Contemporary World,” the event aims to promote a space for reflection, debate, and the sharing of experiences and perspectives on cultural transformations today. It will analyse emerging challenges and opportunities in the fields of technology, sustainable development, and social inclusion, while fostering interdisciplinary dialogue among researchers, professionals, cultural agents, policymakers, and civil society.

Mirian Tavares’s presentation, titled “Art and Technology in Contemporary Times: Unlimited Cultural Production vs. Limited Visibility,” will take place on 19 March at 10:00 a.m., moderated by Susana Medina. Among the topics discussed are the impact of digital technologies on cultural production, distribution, and consumption; the role of artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and other emerging technologies in artistic creation; and opportunities for innovation in the cultural and creative sector.
