CIAC researcher Patrícia Dourado contributes to the latest issue of ouvirOUver, the journal of the Institute of Arts at the Federal University of Uberlândia, in the dossier “Epistemology of Research in Visual Arts: Theoretical and Methodological Contributions”, with two publications dedicated to research methodologies in the arts and creative processes.
In “A Conversation on Methodologies and Creative Processes in the Arts”, an interview conducted by Bruno Póvoa, Patrícia Dourado reflects on the challenges and possibilities of contemporary artistic research, addressing practices, methodologies, and experiences in the fields of arts research and education. In “Methodological Experimentations: Interactions between Research and Creation”, a paper co-authored with Cecilia Salles, Patrícia Dourado examines the experiences of students enrolled in the Creative Processes programmes at UAlg and PUC-SP. The text explores the richness of methods that the creative processes approach has brought to arts research, as well as the experimental nature of such methodologies.
