PROPS Project forms partnership with Ria Formosa Training Centre

On March 25th, CIAC, through the project PROPS – Interactive Narratives Propose Pluralistic Discourse, entered into an agreement with the Ria Formosa Training Centre, Faro-Olhão Schools Association. This agreement entails the joint organization of the final conference of the PROPS project, scheduled to take place in July 2024 at the University of Algarve.

In addition to organizing this event, which will serve as a meeting point for all PROPS team members and where some of the project’s results will be presented, CIAC and the Ria Formosa Training Centre commit to planning two masterclasses to be held during the conference, serving as accredited teacher training activities.

The two short-term training sessions will be aimed at teachers from the 2nd and 3rd cycles and secondary education, aiming to collaboratively explore education practices related to online hate speech and address methods for applying information and communication technologies in the classroom environment.

Finally, the two institutions will also collaborate on the validation and dissemination of the results and pedagogical resources produced by PROPS among educational communities in the Algarve region.

PROPS, a project funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology, is gearing up for the final phase, where the different interactive narratives developed by its team will be tested, aiming to act in the field of media literacy, with a focus on containing online hate speech.
