Creative and transdisciplinary approaches
This Thematic Dossier brings together contributions that explore visual creation as a methodological tool in communication research. Through multimodal perspectives, sensory approaches, visual ethnography, and participatory methods, the articles discuss topics such as artificial intelligence in the social sciences, 360° video, urban spatiality, and the ethics of representation.
The Varia section also includes works on artistic expressions in the Chinese context, intersections between AI and art (Midjourney), temporary housing in the Algarve, cultural mediation in urban markets, fact-checking in Southern Europe, and the visibility of athletes on social media.
ROTURA is a biannual Open Access journal with no submission or access fees, governed by rigorous scientific peer review processes (double-blind peer review).
