The e-book “Some Paths and Perceptual Displacements: Brazil – America – Europe” is now available
The e-book “Some Paths and Perceptual Displacements: Brazil – America – Europe,” organized by Isabel Cristina Carvalho and Adriana Nascimento and published by CIAC at the University of Algarve, is now available.
The project, submitted to the Artistic Creation and Circulation call by the Pro-Rectorate for Extension and Culture of the Federal University of São João del-Rei, gives the book its title, reflecting its connection with both research and extension activities. The project received funding from both Brazil and Portugal, through the research group A.T.A.-UFSJ, fostering the integration and articulation of research objects.
Important collaborations between partner projects are also emphasized, particularly “Gender in Map – Women Empowerment in Planning and Urban Development,” developed at the CIAC, which constitutes its Portuguese counterpart. Some of the questions raised in the project regarding the historical relationship between Brazil and Portugal focus especially on how Portugal has addressed the historiography of routes and pathways.
