CIAC’s Research Group on Visual Arts and Creation Processes is focused on artistic practices and theories – particularly Contemporary Art – and research into Creation Processes.
Members of the group are professors, artists, and researchers, especially from the Undergraduate Degree in Visual Arts and the Master’s in Creation Processes of the University of the Algarve. The Research Group’s main feature is its active work (curatorial, critical, and artistic) in art and culture associations and institutions, as well as publications – especially in the Algarve region – and the development of research with the support of the Critical Theory of Creation Processes, with which it has engaged and produced diverse researches.
Although the focus of this group is especially the Visual Arts, investigations in the field of artistic creations in Cinema, Digital Media-Art, Photography, Performing Arts, Literature, and Cultural Management, are also welcome – when focused on Creation Processes.
