A conversation with artist Xana at the Sagres Fortress

The educational project “Al-fa-betos, modos de usar” will kick off next Tuesday, December 3rd, at the Sagres Fortress Contemporary Art Centre. As part of the project, a talk will be held on December 4th at 4 pm with artist Xana, whose exhibition “Desenho, Construção e Vertigem” (“Drawing, Construction and Vertigo”), curated by Mirian Tavares and Pedro Cabral Santo, is on show at the same centre.

The exhibition, which will be the subject of the talk, brought together around 130 drawings created between 2011 and 2023, organised into four sections – OLEB, FELCIA and LBRD; Milagre OLEB; CENTRO; and A Passagem – as well as presenting a set of five new sculptures in polychrome wood, designed especially for this space dedicated to Contemporary Art.

There will also be Visual Arts Workshops with artist Susana de Medeiros, which will take place on Wednesday, December 4th, at 4 pm, at the same venue.
