Ana Clara Santos coordinated the “Na Primeira Pessoa” section of the Sinais de Cena journal

Ana Clara Santos coordinated the “In First Person” section of the latest issue of Sinais de Cena magazine (3rd series, no. 2), where she conducted an extensive interview with the founder, artistic director, and director of Teatro O Bando, João Brites, titled “João Brites: Theatre is the Art of Experience.”

In this 38-page interview, many of which are illustrated, the Portuguese artist reveals details of his journey and delves into concepts and ideas surrounding a very unique conception of theatre, inherent to the 50 years of activity of Teatro O Bando.

Recently, Ana Clara Santos, together with Sophie Lucet, published the book “Parcours de génétique théâtrale : brouillons, variations et transpositions”. The work is based on case studies of European theatre and effectively illustrates how theatrical genetics has been renewed in recent years on a European scale, leading research towards an epistemological expansion around the notion of a work understood as a work in progress. The focus is on the analysis of creation processes that lead to questioning the notions of appropriation, manipulation, and transposition throughout the different stages of creation, from conception to production and the circulation of artistic projects.
