The Research Group on Digital Media-Art (RG DMA) is based on a line of research in Computational Art and New Media, especially focused on the following key areas:
- Immersive environments,
- Computational art,
- Generative art,
- Digital games,
- Media-locative art,
- Transmedia and post-digital narrative.
This reflects the ongoing research works and comprehends the specialities of the current members of the RG DMA, being sufficiently wide-ranging as to be able to welcome members from other research groups. Likewise, it has a strong connection with the Doctorate Program in Digital Media-Art (UAb-UAlg). The RG DMA intends, therefore, to be a meeting point for CIAC Hubs, whose works comprehend the field of computational art and new media, and need the support of either of specialists in the field, or of specialized equipment. It also aims to encourage and assist the conception of research proposals that include a component related to computational art and new media, even when focused on other fields of research.
This group has a considerable scientific output and a large body of collaborators.
