CIAC releases e-book Digital Media


CIAC – Research Center for Arts and Communication recently published the e-book “Digital Media” which brings together a series of texts focusing on the outcomes that digital media technologies have brought to different cultures.

Edited by CIAC in collaboration with the Communication, Image, and Contemporaneity Research Group of the Universidade Tuiuti do Paraná (UTP), the book presents in-depth analyses on image creation, the role of algorithms in news and audience engagement, the use of Virtual Reality in audiovisuals, and the effects of multicultural globalization on industrial production.

The issues addressed in the texts and the paths followed by the authors in their studies serve as sources for new discussions and suggest a wide range of implications for future research. Moreover, these essays prompt us to contemplate who we are and how we live in a world increasingly dominated by digital media.

The books published by CIAC Editions are the outcome of the scientific production developed within the Research Center by various working groups. These editions aim to contribute to debates and scientific reflection in the fields of arts and communication, disseminating the research work carried out at CIAC.
