Directed by professors Pedro Alfonso Ferré da Ponte and María Jesús Botana Vilar, the Center for Galician Studies of the University of the Algarve launched “Colección Textos e Estudos” [Collection of Texts and Studies] in 2017, with the support of the General Secretariat for Linguistic Policy of the Regional Government of Galicia.

Aimed at disseminating – both in Portugal and abroad – fundamental topics and works of Galician culture, the main goal of this collection of monographs is to strengthen Galicia’s cultural presence, both among academics and the general public. Thus, these and future works will seek to contribute to fields such as literature, history, the visual arts, thought… in short, anything that can broadcast Galician culture through texts from the past or the present.
