RETREAT

4th Digital Media Arts PhD Retreat

The Universidade Aberta, the University of the Algarve and CIAC come together, for the fourth year in a row, to hold the Digital Media Arts PhD Retreat, which this year takes place in the city of Lisbon, in Alfama, between July 18 and 23.

As has become the norm, this year the retreat includes a large array of activities, including workshops and marked tests, talks, musical and poetry moments, artistic and performance intervention, exhibition of artistic artefacts, conferences, guests, among others. The PhD retreat, which represents a high point of the first year of the PhD in Digital Media Arts, in which students, teachers, guests and the general public share a common space for the enjoyment of ideas, analysis of results and the launching of future challenges, will this year be part of the programme of the PARATISSIMA LISBOA festival, which will feature works deemed representative of the work developed with the scope of the PhD.
