Books published in CIAC Editions are the result of the scientific production carried out by the CIAC’s Research Groups. The Editions intend to contribute to discussions and scientific reflection in the fields of arts and communication and seek to disseminate the research work carried out at CIAC.

The collection has been published since 2016 and is regulated by practices of Open Science, following the commitment to science and the principles of the National Open Science Policy, based on the motto that knowledge should be available and accessible to all.

The lines of research are interconnected with the fields of investigation of CIAC’s research groups: Visual Arts and Creation Processes; Film Studies; Digital Media-Art; Communication Sciences; Digital Literacy and Social Inclusion; Literature and Tourism; Communication of/in Science and Cultures.

Proposed research works go through a scientific mediation process, being subject to blind peer review. Once accepted for publication, the texts are also subject to an accurate review in accordance with the collection’s Scientific and Editorial Council.
